Greeting listeners, this is a special C-Webb’s Sunday School.  I still plan on releasing my roundtable discussion but given the current climate in this country surrounding recent events, I had to comment.  My deepest sympathies go out to the families of those that lost loved ones in the Connecticut.  As a father of two young daughters, 4 years and 18 months, the thought of losing them is painful and makes me sick to my stomach and my heart goes out to them and I cannot even begin to understand the pain they are feeling right now.  I hope they can find comfort and help by whatever means works best for them.  The thought that these families, poised to celebrate a joyous time of year, a time of year that children look forward to all year long is now forever tainted.

What follows is a discussion I had with a friend about this tragic event.  Wade, a long time internet friend has a BA in Journalism from Southern Indiana University.  He also has arthogryposis which is a genetic disease similar to muscular dystrophy and is a fellow atheist. We have frequent conversions via text, email and Facebook.  We are kicking around the idea of starting a podcast discussing current events so if you like what you heard, please let us know.

The first half of our discussion revolves around the role of God and the response from people with regard to god.  In the second half with talk about gun control and the impact on society.  So, without further delay, let’s get right into it.

At this point in the conversation we discuss gun control.  I just wanted to let you, dear listener, know that the god talk has stopped.  Enjoy!

I want to thank Wade for having this conversation and you can contact me at the usually places and Wade is @wadeaconway on twitter.  As always, we look forward to your comments, so please reach out to us.
